NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the National capital at 10: 30 am and discussed all state-related issues including pending funds for the Polavaram project among others. In his 40-minute long meeting with Modi, the Chief Minister also sought approval of the proposed Bhogapuram airport in Vizianagaram district, the setting up of medical colleges, and the release of funds under different central schemes to the state government, official sources said.

YS Jagan is said to have spoken about the early disbursement of the R&R package to displaced evacuees. The Chief Minister also sought the implementation of pending issues in the bifurcation act.

The Chief Minister had a busy day ahead and paid a courtesy call on President Draupadi Murmu at 12:30 pm and greeted her after she was elected as the President of India.

YS Jagan also met Union Minister for Energy RK Singh in the afternoon and discussed the issue of the pending amount of Rs 6 crore related to power arrears from Telangana and spent more than half and hour with the Central Minister. YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP V Vijaysai Reddy, and MP Midhun Reddy accompanied the Chief Minister on the visit.
