Dear CBN & Co, It's just bail...not a clean chit!

Ever since Chandrababu Naidu was granted regular bail in the controversial skill development scam case, his coterie and cadre have been celebrated like a festival. The hullabaloo surrounding a bail is evoking laughs to common people. This is following Chandrababu's counsel submitting medical reports of heart enlargement and allied complications. 

Taking all these into consideration, the single-judge Bench made 'absolute' the interim bail granted to Naidu on October 31 on medical grounds. Chandrababu, who was in Rajahmundry Central Prison for 53 days as Khaidi No 7691, got a minor relief. But experts stress that this is not permanent relief.

However, the TDP leaders are forgetting the fact that it is a meagre bail and not a clean chit. AP CID argues that there are several unanswered questions in the Rs 371 crore Skill Development Scam case on how the money is allegedly siphoned off and diverted to various means. The CID may continue to probe Naidu in the case as this allegedly caused a huge loss to the public exchequer.

Is TDP so desperate? Well, certainly yes. Several legal experts and political analysts opine that TDP seems to have lost rationality - be it in its thoughts and actions.
