Extramarital Affair Drives Lovers To Suicide

Two lovers committed suicide by consuming poison in a lodge in Kutralam of Tamil Nadu. According to the police, Anand Ganesh of Nellai district, got intimate with Revathi, the wife of his relative, Sudalai. He used to frequent the house of his relative which led to this extra-marital relationship.

Recently, when their relatives came to know of this relationship, they criticised both of them in strong terms. Anand Ganesh and Revathi eloped to Kutralam on Tuesday and stayed in a lodge. Fearing humiliation after returning to their village, they consumed poison. When the hotel staff found the doors of the room closed on Wednesday morning, they informed the police who broke open the doors. They found Ganesh lying dead and Revathi in a semi-conscious state. While undergoing treatment, Revathi passed away. Police registered a case and are probing the matter.
