Narayana, Sri Chaitanya Junior Colleges Asked To Pay Penalty For Board Affiliation 

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has fined Narayana and Sri Chaitanya junior colleges for violating the norms. The Board secretary A. Ashok on Wednesday said that the colleges do not have minimum required infrastructure in the laboratories and are also running additional classrooms.

After the inspection in May by the vigilance department, 13 Narayana Junior colleges were fined Rs62.72 lakh and 16 Sri Chaitanya Junior Colleges Rs1.4 crore for the poor maintenance of the college. The board secretary also said that the colleges will not get affiliation until they pay the fine. He also specified that the last date to get the affiliation is August 10.

"The affiliation process will be done online and there is no human interference. Colleges have to upload the right documents on the website and no corruption will be allowed as it is a online based process. After examining the documents, the affiliation status will be sent to colleges through online. There is no scope of manipulation of certificates or system because everything is programmed," the board secretary added.
