Mystery Person Opens Gauri Lankesh’s Facebook Account 3 Months After Her Death

In a shocking development, the Facebook account of slain journalist Gauri Lankesh, suddenly became active on Tuesday. Some mystery person logged in and stayed online for several hours. According to sources, the account was active for over eight hours.

Gauri Lankesh was shot dead from close range on September 5 at her house. Since then, her Facebook account has been dormant. But, on Tuesday morning at around 10 am, it suddenly became active and remained so till 8 pm.

SIT officials said that this would in no way affect the investigation as they had already collected the information. They said they were informed of the FB account suddenly going active and added that they would investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that a couple of her close friends knew her password. Sources suspect that someone may have logged in to obliterate or steal information.
