Medical Shops 24-Hour Strike: People Told To Keep Essential Medicines Ready 

Hyderabad: With medical stores across the nation going on a 24-hours strike on Tuesday, the state government issued directions to state run hospitals and the general public to stock essential medicines.

"We have issued direction to authorities of medical colleges and hospitals to keep essential medicines including live saving drugs in readiness to meet the demand," a government officials said. The All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists have called the strike to protest the online sale of medicines and e-portal by the Central government for medicines.
