MBA Student Harasses Teenage Girl by Creating Her Fake FB Profile

Hyderabad: An MBA student was arrested on Thursday for allegedly harassing an 18-year-old engineering student by creating her fake profile on social media and posting abusive comments.

The accused R. Naresh, a native of Karimnagar had sent a friend request to the victim a couple of months ago. The victim accepted the request and had normal chat for few days. But later, the accused started obscene chat for which the girl warned him and blocked him from her Facebook account.

Developing grudge over her, Naresh decided to take revenge and created a fake Facebook profile in the teenager's name by attaching her original photograph. He then started sending friend requests as well as indecent messages to most of her contacts through the fake account.

However, one of the girl's friends said that he had received a friend request from her new Facebook profile, which he had accepted and from then on, began receiving vulgar messages. The victim also came to know that her mobile number was posted on porn websites with her photo seeking male companions.

The girl lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police. The police nabbed the accused and sent him to jail.
