Married Girl Raped and Killed After Being Abducted

Karimnagar: The body of Mounika, a 19-year-old married girl who was abducted on Saturday was found hanging from a tree at Desaipet on Sunday.

Unidentified miscreants abducted Mounika when her father was taking her home on his bike from her in-laws’ place at Motkuraopet in the district. Two attackers beat the father and abducted the girl. Though police began their search for the girl on Saturday, they could find the body hanging from a tree only on Sunday morning at a secluded place near Desaipet.

The evidence suggested that Mounika was raped before being hanged, police said. A manhunt is on for the culprits.

The victim got married to a youth of Motkuraopet just three months back.
