Marital Discord: Man Stabs Wife To Death, Attempts Suicide

In a shocking incident, a person stabbed his wife in a fit of uncontrolled rage and then tried to kill self. The incident occurred in Muskanipet village of Illintakunta mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday night.

The couple - Mahesh and Priyanka (22) - were married only six months ago and everything was hunky dory among them till a few weeks ago. For the past few weeks the couple was having tiffs and verbal arguments. On Thursday evening, they again had a verbal duel. In a fit of rage Mahesh picked up a knife and staffed Priyanka repeatedly. Priyanka collapsed and died on the spot. Mahesh then stabbed himself and collapsed.

Neighbours rushed them to the hospital, but Priyanka was already declared brought dead, while Mahesh is in a critical condition. He is under treatment in the hospital. The police registered a case.
