Man Quarrels With Wife, Gets Tongue Chopped Off Next Day

Khammam: In a shocking incident, a group of people in Manuguru mandal chopped off a man's tongue on Friday after he had a quarrel with his wife.

Ravi Kumar(32), a native of Pedamidicileru, was married to a girl from Chikkudugunta. He came to the village to meet his wife two days ago. The duo had a quarrel over a petty issue and situation spiraled out of control and the girls's parents had to intervene. Next day, Ravi woke up in the morning and went to neighbouring Vizianagaram on foot.

Along the way, a group of people attacked him and took him into the nearby forest. They chopped off his tongue and scooted away from the place.

Ravi managed to wriggle out and searched for the chopped off tongue. After he failed to trace it, he went to Manuguru police station to lodge a complaint.

The police registered a case and admitted Ravi into a hospital.
