Man clubs Wife To Death While She Was Asleep 

Hyderabad: Constant quarrelling between a husband and wife ended with a man slaying his wife while she slept, but not before the neighbours called in the police and helped to apprehend him.

Balanagar police on Wednesday apprehended Qasim from Nehrunagar as he was trying to flee after he murdered his wife Mehrunisa (38) on Tuesday night while she was asleep.

According to the police, Qasim and his wife had a strained marital relationship and they quarreled very often. On Tuesday night they quarreled again. Around midnight, while his wife was fast asleep, Qasim took an iron rod and struck her on her head, killing her on the spot.

While Qasim was planning to flee in the morning, the neighbours, who suspected something to be amiss, called in the cops. The police who arrived on the scene took Qasim into custody and are further investigating the case.
