Lokesh hits back at Amit Shah - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh minister and son of CM Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh has strongly hit back at BJP President Amit Shah. The BJP chief had replied to a letter from TDP President during the latter's exit from NDA. Speaking to the media persons at Amaravati, Lokesh reacted strongly to the letter from Amit Shah and went on to say that the BJP leader was not aware of the ground realities in the state.

Lokesh alleged that Amit Shah had no clue of Andhra Pradesh. He criticised the BJP chief's comment saying that TDP had exited the NDA for political gain and not with development as an agenda. The utilization certificates (UC) has been submitted to the centre regularly, he said and questioned how are UCs connected to state being awarded Special Category Status (SCS). "Is it necessary to submit UCs for fulfilling the 18 promises made in AP Bifurcation Act?"

The minister said that the decision to walk out of the NDA was not a hasty one. "We tried to bring to the notice of the Prime Minister about the people's pulse in regards to SCS to AP, hence our minister resigned from the government. But the party didn't exit the alliance. How can they say that it was hasty decision? Our party chief Chandrababu has all the proofs against the allegations of Amit Shah and we will shortly giving a fitting reply," he said.

Today morning, BJP President replied to a letter sent by Chandrababu informing the reasons for exiting the NDA. The letter pointed that the TDP's exit from the NDA was politically motivated and not for the benefit of the state. Amit Shah through the letter brushed aside the words of the TDP chief, who had written that there was not public sympathy towards BJP.
