KCR Fumes Over Amit Shah; Demands Apology For ‘Belittling’ Telangana 

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday came down heavily on BJP national president Amit Shah for what he called "false claims" that the Centre has been giving Rs 20,000 crore every year to Telangana state.

Speaking at a press conference convened at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, KCR challenged the Central government to prove the claims that the BJP national chief was making.

"What's the need for Amit Shah to come to Hyderabad city and tell the people that the High Court is located in Hyderabad? Why bifurcation?" KCR questioned.

Slamming Amit Shah, KCR said that the BJP would not even get a single seat in Telangana if elections are conducted here and now.

KCR demanded that Amit Shah should tender apology to the people of Telangana for his remarks before leaving the city.

KCR also recalled how senior BJP leader LK Advani had bellittled the people by saying when Hyderabad is in Telangana what was the need for separate state. Such remarks and false claims will not be tolerated anymore, KCR warned. He however, quickly added that he had no differences with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
