KCR calls for Telangana bandh tomorrow - Sakshi Post

TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao on Friday called for Telangana bandh on Saturday protesting against Government’s atrocity in the name of preventive arrests and police excesses on the Telangana activists during the ‘Chalo Assembly’.

Condemning the police highhandedness on the protestors, KCR said it was undemocratic to arrest the TJAC leaders, the TRS MLAs and the party workers. He demanded that the Government should release all the activists immediately.

TRS MLAs thrashed at PS 

Meanwhile, there was a tussle between the police and the TRS MLAs at the Golconda Police Station when the latter tried to perform mock assembly. The TRS MLAs who were arrested when they launched protests in the Assembly, were shifted to the Golconda police station. The police prevented the MLAs to hold mock assembly.

TRS leader Sravan fainted 

TRS leader Sravan who reached Indira Park to participate in the ‘Chalo Assembly’ programme, fell unconscious as there was a commotion when police tried to take the leaders into custody. Sravan fell down on the road. Later, he was taken to the police station after he gained consciousness.
