Comedian Srinivas, has played the lead role in Jayammu Nischayammu Raa after he got a good response to his lead role in Geetanjali. ‘Jayammu Nischayammu Raa’ is a romcom with a message. How is the movie? Has Srinivas Reddy done justice to the role? Will it be a game changer for him? Let's see!!

Story:

The plot is set in a backdrop in the undivide Andhra Pradesh. Mangalam Sarvesh kumar (Srinivas Reddy) is a superstitious person, who has more failth in blind beliefs rather than his own capabilities.

He hails from Karimnagar and knows none apart from his mother and friend Yadgiri. He succeeds in getting a government job in the Muncipal Department in Kakinada. He finds a lucky mascot in Rani (Poorna) and feels whenever she meets him, some thing good happens to him. Sarvesh then thinks of making her fall in love with him and marry her as she is his lucky omen.

The story is about how he marries her and how he realises his own strength.

Performance:

A still from the film

Srinivas Reddy proves his mettle once again as a multi-talented actor, who not only fits the bill as a comedian but also emoted the hero’s role well too. Similarly, the actress Poorna has essayed her character well. Nowhere does she go overboard and connects well with the audience. Other character artistes like Krishna Bhagawan, Jogi Brothers too have acquitted them well.

Technical Aspects:

Shiva Raj Kanumuri has come with a routine potboiler but gave a twist to it through his film making style. Though the first half is little sluggish, the rest of the movie will keep you at ease and is a laugh riot.

Ravi Chandra’s music is another plus point for the flick. Rangula Chiluka song stands out.

Plus Points:

Story

Characterization

Comedy

Minus Points:

Sluggish first half

Verdict:

Different from routine fare. Simple, clean and watchable film that tickles your funny bones.
