Hyderabad: Television anchor-turned actress Anasuya Bharadwaj has backed creative artiste Hyper Aadhi whose dialogue in the Jabardasth programme triggered a controversy. A day after orphans in the city including film critic Kathi Mahesh lodged a complaint with the Saidabad police, Anasuya urged the fans to see the programme as entertainment and not to take them seriously.

Orphans, women organisations demanded that action should be taken against Hyper Aadhi for hurting their sentiments through the skit. They further demanded that the Jabardasth programme be banned or air the programme as a late night show as it is vulgar, it terms of content.

Anasuya, who was busy with her current project - 'Sachindira Gorre', was live on Facebook to chat with her fans and to air her opinions on the controversy surrounding Jabardasth.

When a fan greeted her by commenting — "Hi, Anu aunty", she reacted saying that people have made the word "aunt" as vulgar. "Even I refer to people by calling them aunt, it doesn't mean that they should react the way you think?" she replied.

Following the uproar in the social media over Hyper Aadhi's dialogue — "అతిగా ఆవేశపడే ఆడదానికి .. అతిగా ఆశపడే మగాడికి కలిగే సంతానం ని ఆనాధలు అంటారు," (Orphans are those born to an over-emotional woman and a greedy man), Anasuya requested fans not to overreact over the skits since they are meant for fun and to evoke humor. She said there are more burning issues in the state like poor roads, drinking water, rapes and other issues. When compared to those, the issue in Jabardasth is a trivial one, she said.

Comparing Jabardasth with Baahubali, she urged the fans not to protest against the programme as it has become popular and provides entertainment to millions of Telugu audience in the evening.
