Hyd witnesses heavy rains with hailstorm

Intense rain and hailstorm gripped Hyderabad and strong gales created havoc on Wednesday evening.

Several places including Samshabad, Saroornagar, Champapet, Malakpet, and several areas in the Old city witnessed heavy rain with hailstorm. Power supply disrupted at many places with strong winds. An electric poll collapsed on Hyderguda road and a huge tree was caved in at Rangamahal X road. Several trees were uprooted on the Bangalore highway leading to interruption to vehicular traffic. Sign boards fell down at several places.
