Hyd will not be Union Territory: Owaisi

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) chief MP Asaduddin Owaisi met Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her residence on Friday to discuss the status of Hyderabad.

Speaking to reporters, after the meeting, Owaisi said that he communicated his party's strong opposition to the idea of making Hyderabad, a Union Territory to Sonia Gandhi. He added that law and order, revenue and municipal administration of Hyderabad  have to be under the State government. 
He also said that he would meet Prime Minister Singh and the President Mukherjee and put forth the same demands to them, and sought their appointment for tomorrow.
