Hereditary Jobs Or Rs 25 Lakh Cash: KCR Offer To Singareni Workers

Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday said that the government will implement hereditary job system for Singareni workers and those who opt of the scheme will be given Rs 25 lakh.

Addressing the workers on the occasion of union recognition elections, the chief minister called them to vote for Telangana Boggu Ghani Karimka Sangham (TBGKS) in the ensuing elections. "National unions such as AITUC and INTUC are the root cause for the abolition of hereditary system during the previous governments. They utterly failed to understand Singareni and the issues faced by its workers," he said. "We will implement special health scheme for the workers that will include health care for the parents of the workers too.

Similarly, we understand the intense hardships that workers undergo working in the mines. They suffer bone loss and also breathing problems. These issues were ignored by the Congress and TDP governments. Every welfare programme that the present government tried to implement were obstructed by the AITUC and INTUC by obtaining stay orders," Chandrasekhar Rao said.

The list of boons showered by KCR on Singareni workers:

  • Corporate hospital treatment for parents of Singareni workers
  • Increase in salaries from Rs 12,000 to Rs 25,000
  • Interest-free home loans upto Rs 6 lakh
  • Increase in Dasara festival bonus
  • Increase in Singareni profits from 16% to 25%
  • Rs 25 lakh compensation to the family of a worker on dies on duty
