Fire Mishap in Software Co’s Office Building in Hyderabad

Fire and smoke billowed out of a multi-storeyed office of a software company on Banjara Hills Road No 12 on Friday morning. Since the fire mishap occurred early in the morning, there were not many staffers in the office at the time of the accident.

Fire tenders and fire service personnel rushed to the spot to put out the fires. They rescued two persons - Srividya and another youth - from the fires.

The police have requisitioned the services of few more fire tenders to contain the fires. The police said the building did not meet the fire safety requirements and did not have an alternative staircase for the people to scamper acress to safety. There isn't enough space for the fire tenders to manoeuver.

Prima facie, it appears that short circuit is the cause of the fire mishap. The police are investigating.
