Father who raped his own 14 year daughter

Hyderabad: In one of the most barbaric acts unearthed in the state of Telangana, A father was the main culprit behind the rape and murder of his own flesh and blood - daughter.

During an interrogation round conducted by Ranga Reddy police on Megavath Kamal - the father, confessed that he raped and murdered his own 14 years-old daughter, outskirts of Bantwaram village.

The police stated that they had there initial suspicoun on him however when the body was recovered he fell near the body and wept like any other father would do.

The incident came to light when the father approached the police station claiming that a bunch of men riding an auto injured him and kidnapped his daughter, later they raped and murdered her. The police later discovered the body on the outskirts of Bantwaram village cladded in half saree.

Based on the complaint the police interrogated about 33 auto rickshaw drivers, called in the dog squad and checked various technical aspects related to the case, that including checking the telephone towers near by.

“We started the probe based on technical aspects. We verified the records of mobile towers surrounding the area, where the incident happened, but could not get clue. The dog squad also could not find any clue. The dog could only go till the nearby tandas and come back to the place. We summoned nearly 33 auto rickshaw drivers of Vikarabad. But none of these efforts yielded any result,” said M. Srinivas, SP, Ranga Reddy district.

However the police returned with unfruitful results. The police grew suspicious of Megavath Kamal as he kept changing his story from time to time and when the interrogation happened, the horrendous act unveiled.

"He gave different versions each time and they did not match. Later during interrogation, he confessed that he raped and killed his daughter,” Mr Srinivas stated.

One of the Lady police officer stated that as a human she is devastated and disgusted by the father at the same time she is glad that the case was resolved within couple of days timeframe.

Further investigation is currently on-going.
