Ex-MLA’s Son, Kin Killed In Road Accident 

Hyderabad: Former MLA and Communist leader Omkar's son Dr Vijay Kumar and his mother-in-law died in a road accident on Monday at Suryapet. The mishap occurred on NH 65 when the car they were travelling in rammed into an oil tanker. Dr Vijay and mother-in-law died on the spot, while his wife sustained injuries.

According to the police, Dr Vijay Kumar (50) and his wife Dr Jhansi Lakshmi were heading to Mahbubnagar from Kothagudem along with his mother-in-law Savitramma (70). Vijay Kumar, who was trying to overtake the oil tanker, collided with it from rear. Vijay's wife Jhansi, who sustained injuries, was shifted to Kamineni Hospital at Narketpally.

The doctor couple was running a hospital in Kothagudem. They were on way to attend a function at a relative's house in Mahbubnagar.
