Casting Couch Doesn’t Happen Unless You Say Yes: Niharika

Niharika Konidela is first lady from Mega family who forayed into films and delivered back to back films such as Happy Wedding and Oka Manasu. Both the film did reasonable business at the box office. She is trying hard to become a popular actress in Tollywood.

During Happy Wedding movie promotions, she has stated, she will be seen as a tribal girl in the film. According to reports, Niharika has pleased Ram Charan who is the producer of Sye Raa and Director Surender Reddy to make her part of the project.

With huge discussions happening over the issue of casting couch in Tollywood and small time actress Sri Reddy revealing some prominent names such as Koratala Siva, Nani, Shekhar Kammula and others, Niharika was questioned about the issue of casting couch during her interview to television channel.

In the interview, Niharika has stated that "You can't blame casting couch is happening only in film industry. It is purely mistaken. It happens in various industries. There is no fire without smoke. No one would dare to look at you if you didn't nod your head. If anyone does anything to you without your consent then it would be considered as sexual assault. It is useless to later blame the persons. Nobody can do anything to you without your consent. Let me be honest, I'm different and my family has been in this industry since few decades.I can't speak like an outsider who comes for the opportunity and struggle for a chance. I don't have any idea about the problems they face. If I speak they would mistake me. So I can't speak on their behalf."

She was last seen in Happy Wedding. Sources inform us that she has been reading scripts and yet to finalise on her next project.
