Sunny Leone Biopic Controversy: Change Title Or Face Consequences
Sultry actress Sunny Leone, who is currently working on her biopic titled 'Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone', is in the midst of a controversy following
a demand to remove the name "Kaur" from the movie title, from the Sikh community. Manjinder Sirsa, an Akali Dal member has asked the makers of the movie to immediately remove the surname from the title. It is learnt that the politician warned Subash Chandra, Chairman of Essel Group, of dire consequences if the demand was not met.

about the actor's life since her days of being Karenjit Kaur. the film traces her life journey from her middle-class Sikh family beginnings in Canada to her transition into an adult film actor. The Sunny Leone biopic revolves around the hardships the actress faced in her life till she became successful. In 2012, Sunny became synonymous with 'Baby Doll', the popular song from her second Bollywood movie, Ragini MMS 2, following her sensational debut with Jism 2.

The latest controversy revolves around the usage of "Kaur" in the title, which Sunny
has dropped from her name. The only objection is that since the actress' name does not include "Kaur", it has to be dropped from her biopic title, Manjinder Sirsa said. “There is no objection regarding her profession or her personal life. Our only objection is that we want them to remove the surname ‘Kaur’ because when she herself had earlier dropped ‘Kaur’ from her name, why is it being used now? We have urged the movie makers to immediately remove it or face consequences,” he said.
Following Sirsa's demand, the campaign urging the makers to drop Kaur from title gained further momentum on social media. However, many people came in support of Sunny Leone. Here's what they said:
