Vidya Balan To Play Balayya’s Wife in NTR Biopic  

With the trend of biopic gaining momentum, the next is said to be on Telugu actor-cum-politician NT Ramarao.

Mahanati was based on the life story of late actress Savitri and the film received an immense appreciation from the audience. And now, there are other movies which are being made on the life story of two legendary politicians i.e, NT Rama Rao and Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. NTR's son Bala Krishna is essaying the role of his father in NTR biopic.

We already told you sometime back that actors like Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati, Keerthy Suresh, Mohan Babu and Sumanth have been roped in to play important roles in the movie (NTR biopic). Though names of the actors are doing the rounds, there's no confirmation with respect to the same. There was a buzz that actor Sumanth was portraying the role of ANR in the movie and Keerthy Suresh as Savitri.

And now we hear that Vidya Balan has been confirmed to play the role of the late NTR's wife Basavatarakam.

Vidya Balan To Play Balayya's Wife in NTR Biopic (H2)

NTR and Basavatarakam married in 1943 and had eight sons and four daughters. Basavatarakam died of cancer in 1985. In the memory of her, NTR set up Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad.

It is a great oppurtunity for Vidya Balan to enact the role of Basavatarakam. The film is directed by Krish. Balakrishna is co-producing the movie along with Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri.

The film went on floors yesterday. Director Krish revealed the news through his Twitter handle along with a poster.

Krish also shared Balakrishna's first look. Bala Krishna's first look in the movie reminds one of NTR's role in his first movie Mana Desam. The shooting has now begun in full swing.
