Don't conduct survey forcibly : HC - Sakshi Post

High Court of Andhra Pradesh clarified that integrated survey took up by Telangana government is an optional one. In its judgment, the court said that people have a right to choose between participating in it or not.

The court also ordered the government not to trouble the people by asking some personal details.

It gave its judgment based on a petition saying that the survey is not legally valid.

It asked the government not to conduct the survey forcibly.

The Advocate General told the court that they are not intruding into the personal lives of the people. “The government is doing the survey only for implementing the welfare schemes,” said the advocate general.

After hearing the versions of both the sides, the court gave its permission for the government to conduct the survey.'
