Plane Falls Off Crane while being Transported by road in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A disused plane fell off a crane and landed on the ground in Begumpet on Sunday.

The plane, an abandoned airbus model, was supposed to be transported by road from Begumpet old airport to Hakimpet. The plane was scheduled to be used for crew training purposes by the Central Training establishment which hired a third party to transport the plane to Hakimpet. However, they allegedly failed to estimate the weight of the plane and when it was lifted by using a crane the latter toppled over and fell on the plane.

There were no casualties in the mishap.
