Jyothi Murder Case Cracked, Lover Confesses To Crime

Srinivasa Rao, Jyothi - Sakshi Post

Guntur: Guntur Police have solved the murder mystery of Jyothi an M Pharm student who was killed on February 11 by her lover Srinivasa Rao, his friend Pawan and have confirmed that it was a premeditated murder. Pawan was arrested two days ago and taken into custody and police have almost gathered full details about the case.

After questioning Srinivasa Rao's claim that he had sexually assaulted Jyothi, a re-post mortem was conducted, which was also done upon the family's insistence and there was no trace of any such assault and that she had died due to injuries caused by an assault where a rod-like weapon was used to hit her on her head. This was also confirmed through Pawan's confession.

However, Srinivasa Rao now claims that he had not killed her and his parents are claiming that the police are trying to pressurise their son into admitting that he had murdered Jyothi.

Now murky details are pouring in about his character and his lifestyle. It is alleged that he had cheated many girls in the name of love and the police upon verifying his phone have discovered nude pictures and videos of many girls making it clear these allegations were true.

It appears that Jyothi had found out about his nefarious ways and was forcing him to marry her. Unable to handle her pressure he is said to have hatched this plan to kill her, got himself beaten to make it look like they were attacked by outsiders.

District Collector Kona Shashidhar had reportedly expressed his annoyance over Mangalagiri Government Hospital doctor Dr Vijayabharathi's conduct and there is also a possibility that she might be suspended for not conducting the post mortem properly and giving a certificate to close the case. Guntur Urban SP Vijaya Rao has been supervising the case.
