Accident Claims Six Lives Near Bellary

Bellary: Six people were killed and four severely injured in a ghastly accident that took place on the early hours of Sunday at Mundrigi ringroad. The deceased were identified as Aanand Battageri, Siddhi Korisetti, Manoj Kumar, Amruth, Channuvadadh, Vinaykowdi.

A car from Mundrigi ring road accidentally hit the divider and later collided with another car from another other lane in which the youth were travelling. The car was identified as Hyundai i20. The police filed a case and started probing the matter. The deceased who were returning from a marriage event met with a tragic end.

Earlier, in a similar incident, in a tragic end to 2018, five students died in a car accident in LalPuram area in Guntur Rural mandal.The four engineering students were travelling in their car when they hit the road divider and overturned. The car was hit by a van coming on the other side of the highway.

The five of them were all second and third year Engineering students of RVR and JC Engineering College in Guntur. They were driving at very high speed when the driver lost control and hit the divider, it is learnt.

The impact was so powerful that they were flung out of the car and all of the them died on the spot.The car was completely damaged and the van which hit the car also overturned on the side of the road. But luckily the van driver escaped with injuries. Their bodies were shifted to the Guntur Government General Hospital for post mortem.
