He Promised To Come Home For Christmas, But...

YSR Kadapa District: A man was killed in a road accident in the early hours of Tuesday at Tottigaripalle. According to the police, the deceased Dasari George (22) was a mason and the eldest son in the family.

Two years ago, he was married to Tulasi, Rekulagunta and the couple also have a one-year-old baby girl. For some time, he had been working in Kavali, Nellore district. George visits his home every weekend to see his family. He said that he will be back by Christmas festival and on Tuesday around 2:30 am, he started to reach Kavali on his two wheeler. On his way to Kavali, an unknown vehicle hit him and he died on the spot as a result of the impact at Tottigaripalle. Later, his relatives identified him as George and informed his family members. They reached the accident spot and were shocked to see him dead. Based on a complaint given by George's wife, the police filed a case and started probing the matter. The body was shifted to Badwel government hospital for post-mortem.

Incidentally, three buffaloes were also killed at the same spot where George was killed. The police suspect that a heavy vehicle might have hit them and started probing the matter.
