Man Escapes From Tollichowki Barricade

Hyderabad: A man claimed that a barricade of the Tollichowki flyover fell on his car and damaged the front part. The incident took place on Saturday night while he was driving from Gachibowli to Mehdipatnam. BE Kamesh, the car driver said that he was narrowly escaped from the accident in which his vehicle's front part was heavily damaged. He alleged that the accident happened due to the negligence of GHMC. He also lodged a complaint with the Golconda police.

But the GHMC official blames the car driver for rash driving. He said that there is a distance of 9 metres from the road to the barricade. He said that he rammed into the barricade with rash driving and was blaming GHMC.

This is not the first time for such incidents, in January, 2018, an iron rod fell down from the Malakpet Metro station which completely damaged the car bonnet. Abdul Aziz, the car driver filed a complaint against L&T for their negligence.

In March, 2017, a 38-year-old woman was injured when an iron rod fell from the Nampally Metro site. Uzma Hafeez is riding on a bike along with her husband from Nampally to Khaiaratabad and suddenly an iron rod fell from the rail bridge and hit her head. At that time, the police officials had filed a case against L&T for negligence.
