Alcoholic Kills Wife In Machilipatnam

Machilipatnam: A woman was beaten to death by her alcoholic husband at Koneru center, Machilipatnam. Kurucheti Trivikrama Srinivasa Prasad from Machilipatnam and Siva Naga Rajakumari (40) from Eluru got married in 1996.

According to the police, the couple had two children Nikhil and Mounika who were pursuing their bachelors degree in other states. Prasad was an alcoholic from the time of his marriage and always used to harass his wife physically and mentally. His in-laws asked Prasad to change his behavior. He was also counseled by village adults. They also asked her to seek divorce but she didn't.

Unable to face domestic violence, she filed complaints several times and as a result, he was counselled by the police. They also warned him to stop the domestic violence. Prasad's behavior changed for some time and later his torture increased after a case was filed against him in the police station.

Meanwhile, on October 1st, Prasad consumed alcohol and came home. He fatally beat his wife and a severely injured Rajakumari died on the spot. After two hours, Prasad shifted the body to a private hospital where doctors declared her 'brought dead'. Later he brought the body home and tried to portray her death as an accidental one.

However, their son suspected that his father had killed his mother and immediately lodged a complaint against him. The police filed a case and started the investigation. Prasad confessed his crime in the course of interrogation.
