He Raped The Child After Mother Refused To Oblige

Bhopal: A man raped a one-year-old baby girl after her mother rejected his proposal. The incident came to light when the baby's elder sister filed a complaint. The incident took place at Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The accused was the relative of the child's mother who he had been harassing her for some time. But she rejected his proposal several times. The accused wanted sexual favours from the woman but after she refused his advances, he went to her house and raped her baby girl in her absence. Same day night, he sexually assaulted another girl who was four years old and the eldest daughter of the woman.

The police filed a POCSO case against the accused and started probing the matter.

Apart from that, a man was sentenced to death within 46 days of committing the crime. for raping a nine-year-old girl on May 21 in Madhya Pradesh. The police arrested the accused in 72 hours and presented him before the sessions court. The court sentenced him to death when the DNA reports came positive.

In another incident, an Army Major was booked for allegedly raping his domestic help in southwest Delhi in July after which her husband committed suicide.

They said a case was registered at the Delhi Cantonment police station on September 25 based on a complaint filed by the woman.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that she was raped by the Major on July 12, the same day her husband killed himself, a senior police officer said.
