Girl Dies In Suspicious Circumstances

Jadcharla: A suspicious death of a girl student took place on Tuesday night at Badhepally hostel, Jadcharla. The reasons for her death are yet to be known.

According to the students and the victim's sister Vanitha, G Vinila (18) is the first daughter of Anjaneyulu and Eeramma. She is a student of Intermediate second year at VSR Junior college at Jadcharla. She was staying in a local BC management hostel. By 3 PM, she came from college to the hostel and also participated along with her friends in Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations.

Shortly after 11:30 PM, she took ill and immediately informed hostel cook. They shifted Vinila to Badepally hospital. She died while undergoing the treatment. She had been suffering with Thyroid and Asthma for some time. It is learned that the girl suffered a sudden heart attack. The hostel warden Swapna Rani and Vinila's family members reached the hospital after being informed about the Vinila's death. The postmortem was held at Badepalli government hospital and later the body was handed over to Vinila's family.

Rumours have been circulating about Vinila's mysterious death. Hygiene in the hostel, the incidence of dengue cases in surrounding areas are causing concern and being cited as likely reasons for her sickness. Police have filed a case and started probing the matter.

Health minister Dr Lakshma Reddy learned about the matter and offered Rs 25,000 exgratia to Vinila's family.
