Killed Her Husband Because He Failed To Register Land In Her Name?

Ramachandrapuram/East Godavari: A case suspicious death was reported on Sunday from Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district. Chelluri Rambabu (38) and Kranthi fell in love with each other and got married 15 years ago and had two children.

Earlier, a Rowdysheet was filed against Rambabu which was later withdrawn when TDP government came to power. It was reported that there were frequent domestic conflicts between the couple and they also filed cases against each other.

The couple underwent family counseling at the local DSP office. Later, they were living together at an apartment near Thotavari street.

On Sunday morning, his wife Kranti told her neighbours that Rambabu was unconscious. Soon, he was rushed to the local area hospital but the doctors declared him dead. Based on a complaint given by the victim's father Satyanarayana, Kranthi was taken into custody.

Mystery shrouds the death of Rambabu as his face looked bloody. The complaint lodged by Satyanarayana has raised further doubts.

According to the locals, Rambabu earned Rs 25 lakhs and was supposed to buy a land on Sunday. Reportedly, he brought Rs 16 lakhs home and Kranthi forced him to register the land in her name. Neighbours said that the couple had an argument on Saturday night which could have led to Rambabu's death. It was also noticed that the amount had gone missing in the house. The police has started probing the case and grilling Kranthi and other family members.
