Pregnant Goat Gang-Raped By 8 Men In Haryana

Haryana: In a bizarre case, a pregnant goat died after the animal was allegedly gang-raped by eight men in Mewat district of the state.

The incident came to light after the goat's owner lodged a complaint to the police. As per reports, the eight men who were in inebriated state beat and assaulted the seven-year-old goat on Wednesday. According to the goat owner Aslup Khan, the goat went missing which was tied beside his house and he was on a search for it.

Later, he found the goat late in the night inside the shed after he heard a sounding emanating from the shed. Aslup Khan then alerted the villagers and went to shed believing some thieves might have stolen the goat. But to his shock he noticed the culprits in the act, he along with villagers caught hold of three and thrashed them. "As they were in inebriated condition, the villagers let them off," said the goat owner adding that there were another five men who assaulted the goat and fled away.

On the next day, Aslup found the goat was dead and lodged a complaint to the police over which they registered a case under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.

The police identified the three culprits as Savakar, Haroon, Jaffar and details of five others are yet to be ascertained.
