Milk Adulteration Gang Arrested in Bibi Nagar

Nalgonda: A Special Operations Team (SOT) from Malkajgiri Zone under Rachakonda Commissionerate raided a milk adulteration unit at Mudiraj Colony in Bibi Nagar here.

Acting on a tip off from a trusted source, the police caught hold of Bandari Shekar Reddy and six others for carrying out adulteration of milk by adding milk powder and detergent surf powder to milk.

The police acted after they learned that the accused were injecting Oxytocin to the cattle for producing more quantity of milk. It is learnt that they were earning profits by mixing surf powder and milk powder to make the milk thicker and increase its quantity too.

The police seized 600 litres of adulterated milk, 'Dholpur fresh' milk powder, surf packets, Oxytocin 01 bottle, a churning machine, 5 vehicles, and cash worth Rs 18,260 from the possession of the accused, before arresting them and handing over to Bibi Nagar police for further investigation.
