Politician Paid Rs 10 Crore Supari For Killing Munna Bajrangi: UP Cops

Lucknow, UP: A judicial probe was ordered after dreaded gangster Munna Bajrangi was shot dead inside a high security prison in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat. Munna's body with ten bullet wounds was found in a gutter inside the prison premises.

In the investigation, it was found that the 51-year-old criminal was executed as part of a contract killing, ordered by a UP-based politician, a senior police oficer said. A sum of Rs 10 crores was deposited in two separate banks, a day before the murder, it is learnt. Phone calls between the gangs were found to be instrumental in cracking the case.

Also, Bajrangi's wife had feared there threat to her husband's life from the politician, at a recent press conference, citing revenge over disputes in the past.
