Unseemly controversry has erupted in Tirumala with the TTD authorities reportedly issuing a notice to Tirumala temple chief priest Ramana Deekshitulu.

The chief priest was served a notice on Deekshitulu over taking his grandson into the sanctum sanctorum of the temple during the recent Brahmotsavams, which the TTD contended is against the temple traditions.

Reacting to this Deekshitulu said he has been serving the Lord since 1974 and added that some persons are deliberately trying to tarnish his image. He said he had left high positions to become Lord's servant and added that despite his experience, he is being victimised. On the issue of the Tirunamam too, he said he has nothing to do with it.
