Constable Commits Suicide Following Domestic Tiff

Hyderabad: An alcoholic constable in Rangareddy district committed suicide on Monday after his wife left him as she was unable to bear his drunken ways. Ramesh, who hails from Nalgonda district, was working as constable in Meerpet police station and was living in a rented-house in SLN colony here along with his wife Nikhita and two children.

Ramesh got addicted to alcohol and used to quarrel with his wife and children regularly. Nikhita also lodged complaints with the superiors of Ramesh as she was even being tortured physically. Officials later attached Ramesh to control room in Rachakonda Commissionerate.

Ramesh came home on Saturday and began quarrelling with Nikhita after consuming liquor.He even tried to slam down the 3-months-old baby but fortunately Nikhita saved her in the nick of the moment. Later, she went to her parent's home in Borabanda and Ramesh committed suicide by hanging self at his house. The police reached the spot after locals informed about the incident.
