In a recent survey conducted by a television channel, YSR Congress Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy emerged as the clear favourite in the race for the post of Chief Minister. 

According to the results 38 per cent of those interviewed for the survey, voted for former CM and Telegu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu to be their next CM.  The first round of the survey was released for four Rayalaseema districts on Thursday.  The next day, results of survey conducted in nine Coastal Andhra regions from Nellore to Srikakulam, were released.

Naidu got 37 per cent votes and 38 per cent in Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra respectively.
On the other hand, 48 per cent of the people opted for Jagan. And in Rayalaseema a staggering 54 per cent voted for Jagan.  All in all, Jagan was a more popular choice for the post of CM than Chandrababu Naidu.


Choice of Chief Minister:

Jagan: 48%.
Chandrababu: 38%.
Assembly:

YSR Congress: 87-95 seats.
TDP: 23-27 seats.
Congress: 4-7 seats.
BJP: 0-1 seat.
Others: 0-4 seats.

Parliament:

YSR Congress: 12-16 seats.
TDP: 0-2 seats.
Congress: 0-2 seats.

Vote Share:

YSR Congress: 45%.
TDP: 38%.
Congress: 13 %.
