CM Kiran Reddy duplicity on State bifurcation exposed - Sakshi Post

Two separate meetings, meant to consider the opinions of the leaders to be made part of the report to the Group of Ministers (GoM), of ruling Congress party further exposed the dual face of the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Kiran, who in connivance with the Congress High Command trying to project himself as champion of Seemandhra cause, deliberately skipped the meeting with Telangana leaders, but, denied the demand of Seemandhra leaders on convening special Assembly session to resolve against the State bifurcation.

As November 5 was set as deadline for the eight political parties of the State to send their suggestions on the terms of reference of GoM, constituted for Telangana process, the meetings were scheduled today. When the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and APCC president Botsa Satyanarayana were scheduled to attend both the meetings, the CM skipped the first meeting with Telangana Congress leaders.

Taking serious exception on his absence, Telangana leaders expressed their displeasure on CM for deliberately abstaining from the meeting. They also questioned Botsa for convening two separate meetings.

"Is he the CM to Seemandhra? Is it not his responsibility to send a letter of suggestions, following the party-lines?" irked leaders of Telangana reportedly expressed their anger. After their meeting with Botsa at his residence, they met Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarsimha to discuss the further course of action.

Simultaneously, Congress leaders from Seemandhra met at Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao's residence. Later, they met with the CM and Botsa at CM's camp office at evening and discussed on 11 issues related to the bifurcation.

The leaders reportedly asked the party leadership from the State to incorporate their resentment in the letter to be sent to GoM. Much to the chagrin of Seemandhra leaders, who demanded immediate convening of Assembly session enabling for a resolution against the State bifurcation, the CM reportedly watered down the proposal, stating that it would be of no use.
