Chiranjeevi to join Central Ministry? - Sakshi Post

Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi is all set to get a berth in the Union Ministry this time. Sources close to Chiranjeevi confirmed  that he has received a signal  from the Centre to this effect and he was asked to be available in New Delhi till October 28.

Though there has been no official word about the reshuffle, reports from national media  indicate that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has met President Pranab Mukherjee only to discuss the issue and the reshuffle might take place any day between October 24 and 28.

It is said that Chiranjeevi likely to  occupy a berth in the Union Cabinet as the High Command had made a promise when he agreed to unconditionally merge his erstwhile PRP with the Congress. Chiranjeevi who floated the Praja Rajyam in 2008, has merged his party with the Congress last year. The Centre assured him a Cabinet berth at the Centre when he  played a key role in saving the Congress Government in the Stete from losing a no-confidence motion moved by the TDP and the YSR Congress party.

While the names of Manish Tewari, Meenakshi Natrajan, Jyoti Mirdha, Manicka Tagore are likely to be considered in the major reshuffle of the Union Ministry, the names from the State like Sarve Satyanarayana, Nandi Yellaiah, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and Chiranjeevi are also doing rounds. The buzz is that to satisfy Telangana people, the Centre is considering the names of two MPs from the Telangana region too.
