Chandrababu Naidu breaks his golden silence over Telangana - Sakshi Post

The official announcement on Telangana has come out, the Samaikyandhra activists are carrying out intense agitations over the bifurcation of state, there were reactions from every political party. However, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu chose to distance himself from the issue.

Naidu chose Wednesday to break his silence on the issue. It may be recalled that Naidu had also instructed his partymen from offering any views on the issue. No TDP MLAs weren't seen expressing their stand.

Speaking to reporters, Naidu said: "To build a new capital for Andhra Pradesh, 4 to 5 lakh crores will be required."

The TDP chief placed some demands to be met before the Centre. "Centre must take up the responsibility to handle the after effects of dividing the state as it will take some time to form the new capital. In the distribution of water and other resources, justice should be done to both the states. Centre should keep up its word of serving justice to both regions," he said.

He maintained that the Telugu race should remain united despite the division of state. "It doesn't matter if there are two states but the Telugu-speaking people should remain united."  He also said that he would discuss the issue with the national leaders.

The TDP cheif recalled that TDP had sent a letter to the centre in 2008 in favour of the demand for separate Telangana state.
