Chandrababu is anti-Dalit : Katti Padma Rao

Founder-President of Andhra Pradesh Dalit Mahasabha Katti Padma Rao said Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu was anti Dalit.

Padma Rao said that the state government was robbing the Dalits of their rights. “The population of SCs and STs in the state is 32 percent . But, Chandrababu gave only two ministerial berths for them,” said Padma Rao.

Speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of AP Dalit Mahasabha meet at Hyderabad, he blasted the men in power for diluting the employment guarantee scheme.

“Chandrababu government is planning to divert the sub-plan funds worth Rs. 16,000 crores. We will move the court on the issue, if necessary. We have decided in the meeting to install a 150-feet-tall statue of B.R.Ambedkar in the new capital of Andhra Pradesh,” said Padma Rao.

He demanded that the life story of B.R.Ambedkar and Mahatma Phule to be included in school curricula.

He said that Dalit Mahasabha has challenged the verdict on the Tsundur case in Supreme Court.

“We have decided in the meeting to form the statues of six Dalits who were killed in the Tsundur violence. We will form a new political party on September 1 next year and contest in all the constituencies in 2019 general elections,” explained the Dalit activist.
