Salman’s Ex- Girlfriend Alleges Sexual Harassment

Salman Khan’s former girlfriend Somy Ali in an interview revealed the reason for talking about her bitter experience of being a victim of sexual assault when she was five.

Karachi born Somy had moved to the US at the age of 12 with her mother and brother She managed to convince her mother to allow her to move to Mumbai at the age of 16 where she started modelling and doing some odd jobs till she got a break in Hindi movies and that too with her chilhod crush and co-star Salman Khan.

Not only did she act with him but also dated him for more than eight years before she broke up with him in 2018 after he allegedly cheated on her.

She moved back to Florida and completed her Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Somy started a voluntary organisation called No More Tears to support women in abusive relationships.

She spoke about living in an atmosphere of domestic violence and physical abuse and in Pakistan where she says many of her mother's friends suffered bruises but never reveald the real reason for their wound.

She also spoke about how she was sexually assaulted at the age of five by a house-help when she was in Pakistan and makes it a point to talk about this story so that more women are encouraged to talk about their personal experiences and not feel ashamed to share.
