Bhuma Family Fighting With Back To The Wall In Nandyal

Allagadda MLA and AP Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya said she would not go back on her word and added that she would send her resignation to Speaker Kodela if the TDP loses.  - Sakshi Post

Kurnool: With politics hotting up in poll-bound Nandyal, challeges and counter challenges are flying thick and fast. Amid reports that the Bhuma faction is facing an uphill task, Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya again said that she would resign her post if the TDP failed to win the bypoll.

Bhuma clan's arch rival and Nandyal strongman Silpa Mohan Reddy is again challenging the Bhuma family. In the past, Bhumas were with the YSRCP, while Silpas were with the TDP. Now the roles are reversed. The Nandyal bypoll is necessitated following the sudden death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy, who won on YSRCP ticket and then defected to the TDP.

Akhilapriya on Sunday launched ‘Praja Ashirwada Yatra’ in support of the TDP candidate and her cousin Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy. She said she would not go back on her word and added that she would send her resignation to Speaker Kodela if the TDP lost.

From all accounts, the Bhuma family is fighting with its back to the wall against a hugely popular and resurgent YSRCP candidate.
