BC Community Will Have Better Opportunities In YSRCP Government: YS Jagan

Leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Papanaidupeta (Chittoor): The BC Community will have better opportunities in education, healthcare and employment in YSRCP government, Leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Addressing a BC Conclave, here on Wednesday, on the 64th day of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, he said former chief minister the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy wanted to encourage the education of a medical or an engineering student from each household of the BC Community and hence introduced the concept of fee reimbursement for the students. The YSRCP government will not hesitate to spend any amount for the education of children from the backward classes, he said. "To this end, Rs 20,000 will provided to the students towards hostel fees, mothers who send their children to school will be given Rs 15,000 towards education. Similarly, since BC, SC and ST communities have mostly workers in their ranks, the eligibility age for pensions for them will be reduced to 45 years by the YSRCP government," he said.

Strongly criticising the TDP government for misleading the people of the backward communities, YS Jagan said Chandrababu Naidu's election manifesto dedicated a page for each sect of people from the BC community. "Those promises have remained confined to the manifesto and were never implemented. The chief minister is more interested in taking photographs with weavers and artisans during election campaigns and promptly forgets them after that," the YSRCP chief said.
