Attempt On Another YSRCP Leader’s Life In Kadapa

Kadapa: Another YSRCP leader became the target of a deadly attack in Rayalaseema, which of late is seeing a spate of attacks on YSRCP leaders.

YSRCP leader T. Chinnapa Reddy was grievously injured and lost his two fingers in a murder attempt by unknown miscreants on Friday night. Reports state that the assailants, who knew that Reddy would pass by the vegetable market late in the night, lay in wait. As he was coming, they accosted him and attacked him with sickles. He suffered severe injuries and bled profusely. The attackers fled the place after the victim shouted for help.

He was admitted to a nearby hospital and would be taken to Hyderabad for better medical aid. Senior YSRCP leaders like MP YS Avinash Reddy, party general secretary Siva Sankar Reddy Devireddy and mandal president Shivaprasad Reddy enquired about Chinnapa Reddy's health. A large number of anxious party workers and supporters rushed to the hospital on knowing about the attack.
