Nadu Nedu To Launch In Ongole On Nov 14

AMARAVATI: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked the administration to gear up for the Nadu Nedu programme which will be launched by him at PVR High School in Ongole on November 14 to showcase the educational reforms the state is undertaking.

Initially the state will take up 15,000 schools for renovation and a pictorial representation of how it was before and how it looks after renovation will be displayed, he said during the Spandana meeting here on Tuesday. The teachers would be trained adequately as the medium of instruction will be changed to English from Class 1 to 6 from the next academic year. Involvement of parent committees and locals will have inclusiveness in renovating the school buildings, he said.

The Chief Minister has asked the officials to provide the fishermen digital cards to avail the benefits that will be given to them on November 21, coinciding with the World Fishermen Day and other subsidies.

Data of the beneficiaries will be collected from November 20 for one month for issuing Ration, Pension, Aarogyasri, Fees Reimbursement and other cards. The Chief Minister has also enquired about the work in progress on the data collection of beneficiaries of Rythu Bharosa scheme and said that registrations for tenant farmers is extended till December 15. He reminded the officials that Netanna Nestam, YSR Zero percent interest and other schemes to be launched.

He asked the District Collectors to own up the housing scheme, which is a pet project, as this would place the state on a high pedestal in the nation and land acquisition should be done using all available avenues. Your effort will define our success, he said.

He has firmly said that all data should be displayed at the Village Secretariats and social audit is a must. He was also particular that shops should be set up besides Village Secretariats which would sell quality seeds, fertilizers, seeds, and other items.
